A flotilla of boats has been mobilised to spread aid across Fiji’s 330 islands in the aftermath of Cyclone Winston, the most powerful storm ever recorded in the southern hemisphere.

The children of Syria have seen their cities bombed, their homes destroyed, their lives become a flight from war. Incredibly, ShelterBox’s partners ‘Hand in Hand for Syria’ found a classroom of youngsters learning in a makeshift school in the relative calm and cool of an underground cave.

Syria’s largest city is in a stranglehold. Over 70,000 people have fled north towards Turkey, but at least 300,000 remain in appalling conditions, with aid routes into the city uncertain and unsafe. ShelterBox and its charity partners are determined to do all they can to reach families in need.
